About Ann
One of the most rewarding parts of Ann Laferriere’s role as a wealth advisor is when she can put her to-do list to the side and dive deeply into a client’s situation. She finds great satisfaction in finding a kernel of information or developing a strategy that results in improving someone’s financial life. Ann believes no two clients are the same, and she works to understand the financial goals and concerns that are specific to each. Then, she works with them to devise comprehensive but customized wealth management strategies that evolve as their life does, allowing her to create lasting relationships.
Ann began her career in financial services with Raymond James in 1999, and a year later, she founded Griffon Financial Planning, Inc. As owner and president, her focus ran the gamut from researching economic trends and investment strategies, creating retirement plans, marketing, compliance and everything else required to run a growing, high-quality service business. Griffon joined Buckingham in 2019.
Ann has earned the Certified Financial PlannerTM designation. She is a member of The National Association of Personal Financial Planning, the nation’s leading organization of fee-only financial planners. Ann’s insights have been featured in prominent publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and The Oregonian.
Active in her community through social justice work. A native Oregonian, Ann lives in Bend. Outside of work, she enjoys fly fishing, mountain biking, skate skiing, cooking, and traveling.
